At Segly, your privacy is essential. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when using our website or GPX track analysis app.
1. Data Collected
Segly does not require an account to analyze a GPX track. The files you upload remain private and are neither stored nor shared by us.
- GPX files: processed only during analysis, never stored on our servers.
- Technical cookies: used only for the proper functioning of the site (login, language, display preferences, payment fraud prevention).
- Analytics & advertising cookies: Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel, set only if you accept them via the cookie banner shown on your first visit (changeable anytime via the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of the page).
2. Use of Data
The data you provide (GPX file, analysis parameters) is used only to generate the requested results. No personal data is used for commercial or advertising purposes.
3. Data Sharing
Your files and analysis results are never sold or handed over to third parties. To compute elevation, weather and terrain type, only the route coordinates are sent to external mapping and weather services (including services based on OpenStreetMap), with no information that could identify you. You remain the sole owner of your data.
4. Security
- Secure connection: all communications are encrypted (HTTPS).
- No storage: no GPX file or personal data is kept after analysis.
5. Your Rights
You can request deletion of any data possibly associated with your use at any time (e.g., via the contact form). By default, Segly keeps no personal data about you.
6. Minors
Segly does not specifically target minors and does not collect any data that could identify them.
7. Changes
This policy may change. Any modification will be displayed on this page.
